In the heart of Winter, a Ladybug appeared
clinging to my fingers in fragile joy reposed-
I put her in the grasses where a LadyBug should be
then thanked her for her blessing...

and the doorway closed.

Days of darkness looming, hopes of what is feared
linger in my longing where the future lies enclosed;
A box with locks of tresses, in my hands I see -
Life, sweet and distressing...

deaths yet undisclosed...

Still the vision lingers, a day with grasses green,
an unexpected beauty before Winter, arosed;
Promises impending, a LadyBug was seen
and She gave me her Blessing-

a Gift of Joy, imposed...

Light will come! The Darkness is deposed!
