MIDDAY MEDITATION: Books, Burgers and Feasts
POETRY WARNING🚨A Rhymey Dimey Discourse upon the great Iron Age Pulp VS Pride Debate
A Burger’s just a Burger, with or without fries; but when it’s the Best Burger all the rest are lies… it transcends all the tables History has laid a Burger’s just a Burger - til Best Burger’s made. So some Books are a Burger; some Books are a Feast. When Books are Best Burgers, they're greater than the least of all the Book-Feasts offered - 'til that fateful day Master Chefs present a Feast that blows them all away… Each Book has its own Beauty, greatest unto least; sometime you want a Burger - 'til you want a Feast. Yes, some Books are a Burger; some Books are a Feast. Go be blessed, and read the Best 'til your hunger's ceased!
A poetic retelling of an age-old debate. I love it.
The burger metaphor is great. And some are happy with excellent burgers. I am too sometimes! On this debate, I think we’re of a same mind that, to create culture, we need the burgers and the haute cuisine, and should not look down our noses at either offering.
And now I’m hungry.
Another great one!
