POWER of the CROSS

There's a place in your Heart that your knees have worn bare
and the tears through the years left a stain;
through hope and despair, though no comfort is there,
you pray - and no prayer is in vain.

I stand before you proof of the Power of the Cross;
the prayer that was prayed when all Hope was lost...
in sickness, sorrow, sin it is Christ who paid my cost -

There's a Hope that we hold, like a flame in our hands - 
though it burns us, we just can't let go...
and the reason for suffering we can't understand,
but God loves us, and wants us to know:

And there are Fears in this World all around us,
and there are Demons we face ever day;
but there are Miracles still to astound us
and a God to Whom we can pray -
