QUALITY CURATION in INDIE LIT: LET the READER DO IT
Just don't get Aaron Swartz'd by The Powers That Be
How should the Indie Community curate Collections of Quality Books? LET THE READER DO IT. Make a SIMPLE, FREE Platform where Readers and Authors can create their own communities of desired Book Attributes or Reader Attributes, with a VERY FEW platform-wide parameters (CHOOSE WISELY: Books only, No CP, No Doxxing, No DECLARED Terrorist Orgs etc) then let them Mod their own communities. FUND with Book Ads. if an Author or Reader someone doesn't like books one community chooses, or if someone feels under-represented, they can't shut a community down - BUT THEY CAN START THEIR OWN. Mod the Platform to avoid illegal content but DO NOT MOD COMMUNITIES from ON HIGH - let communities rise, live or die organically. LEARN FROM THE LINUX, REDDIT, MINECRAFT AND 4CHAN COMMUNITY DEBACLES. Make it impossible to sell out the platform. Write terms of service to avoid the platform takeover of Ideological Activists and Political Arbiters. Then make it easy to search the list of communities and LET READERS DECIDE. Basically, Reddit before Reddit got stupid - call it ReadIt.

You might want to correct that screencap, your redaction pen is thin enough to be seen through.
I love it! “ReadIt" could be a refreshing alternative in the book community space, bringing together connections and promoting quality literature without heavy-handed moderation. It's an innovative idea! And inclusive! 👏
