They’ve done it before, RH. “The Road.” I see no reason why your fiction shouldn’t have a slice of Cormac McCarthy’s acclaim. Plus, the incredible record of Michel de Notre Dame many of his “Centuries” have apparently predicted the extinction of the Guises, the French Revolution, beheading Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette, Napoleon’s rise, The Battle of Waterloo, Battle of Sedan, Third Battle of the Somme, The Russian Revolution, the Execution of the Royal Romanov Family, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Killing JFK, Fall of the USSR, Fall of the Twin Towers using the same quatrains to predict many of those events.
OMGosh thank you for the compliment💖So true about the prophetic works of writers throughout the ages... but YaY Radha we are going to make it through the Apocalypse together!
One of my favorite books that seemed incredibly like the author had taken a peek at the Apocalypse playbook is called “Dialogue With The Devil” by Taylor Caldwell. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
Thank you for saying what I’m thinking. I envision groups of spies, tech bro’s and GERBs around a conference table. Everyone has tablets with their Reader app open to the Library of Illusion— all those sci-fi, cyberpunk and apocalyptic offerings that have been approved by The Rich Weirdos controlling the world.
Whether it’s 1984, Neuromancer, The Diamond Age, Brave New World, Too Like the Lightning or any of other novels and stories that are cherry-picked for narrative elements, it’s clear that this will continue.
It just emphasizes there is little creativity on their side.
As for you apocalyptic book, you’d be in illustrious company among the authors listed. I’d go for broke. Hit all apocalyptic points dead on as you write in your Doublewide of Doom on your journey to becoming a Seer. I will cheer you on.
You're in good company. 1984 wasn't meant as an instructional manual, but TPTB have used it as such.
