It is an enchanted Shawl! My Father brought it with him from Spain as a gift for me in 1977💖and its color has never faded, nor has it lost its lustre; it is of finest wool, and is a central item of importance in my series!

What a beautiful piece to gain inspiration. A lasting gift from your Dad. I wonder what he thought when he chose it for you?

He would buy gifts as he came back from all over the world, and each was very important to him and fraught with symbolism. We did not have a Quinceanera, or a coming out party, so I believe this was his way of celebrating my entrance into womanhood - a garment that would always fit the wearer throughout life, the epitome of femininity, grace and grit.

The only problem with that rose, is that it isn't yellow.

True - but if you read carefully you will see the roses on Rose's shawl are red -

only Rose is the 'Yellow Rose'. This will become a big plot point in the story.

You're welcome, but I guess I don't quite understand why accolades from me would be worth anything more than those from someone else. Be that as it may, thank you for the compliment.
