Oh my you look so much like your Mother. And I have always warshed my chicken because I was the one plucking it LOL. I never saw any one else spell warsh that way but me before. I got in so much trouble at school for spelling words they way they sound to me. And warsh was one of them. My family can't figure out were I got my southern accent from. None of them have it. 🤩
OMGosh thank you for saying I look like my Mother, I always wanted to be as gorgeous as her....
but my Dad always bragged I looked like him if he were a girl lol. I actually went back to his very tiny hometown when he was still alive, and he went to get something fom the car. As I was standing in the street alone, random older man approached me: "You're Bobby's Girl, aren't you?"...
I just nodded; I was happy, because I love that Man.💖
Of course you scrub it off. Just cuz it's plucked don't mean it's clean. If you eat any animal with the skin intact, you wash it. Period. Feathers don't keep dirt, and bugs, and chicken poop off the skin. And never trust the blue collar folks freezing their butts off in the processing plant to do it right. Your chicken might be the last one to get rinsed... 20 seconds before quittin' time!
Wash them chickens.
I even wash my apples, pears, plums, and maters. You know how many hands touched those skins before you did? You know how dusty and dirty those produce trailers get before they hit the supermarket?
Everyone should treat the food the ingest as if it travelled across the country in a filthy semi trailer. Cuz it probably did.
Rinse yer broccoli, cauliflower, and veggies, too.
Now? I couldn’t be around it, but when I was a kid it was nothing to see my grandmother go grab a chicken. Normal living. I think I’m going to get some chickens to raise eggs. I have plenty of room.
It is very important to know where our food comes from, and the animals that give so much for us! You will never dishonor them, for you will honor their sacrifice - and I LOVE my egg Chickens💖
Absolutely, thank you @R. H. Snow understanding the meaning of sacrifice and eating with proper intention raises our spiritual level through meal preparation and dining experiences. Are you familiar with @The Purple Peach? 🍑💜 She’s an amazing lady who writes so well about this subject. I mean you were like her beautiful soul and work. 💖💖💖
Of course I wash them!!!! They are raised in 12”x12” stacks of cages where they are shit on constantly from birth. They’re exposed to all sorts of diseases. Honey, I’d be a damn fool not to wash ‘em!

I look like my Dad. Not a trace of my Mom here. Just wish he would have had a smaller nose. Hehehe

I knew there was a reason I loved you!
aw shucks
When I was growing up we had our own chickens. Yep, grab one, wring it’s neck and pluck, cut it up and clean it. Cook it! Yum! 😋
I never did the wringing, but I did the plucking and warshing. Good one R.H.! 👍🐓
YaY You remember! I haven’t ever wrung one or plucked one, because mine are all egg chickens!
